The seventh round of the 2012 China Touring Car Championship will be held this weekend at Shanghai Tianma Circuit, the circuit which also held the Chinese round of the 2011 WTCC.

Shanghai VW 333 Racing Team aren't optimistic of results this weekend even though they'll be racing on their home circuit: The victory of Wang Rue at the last round has only helped see the success ballast on their Volkswagen Polo 1.6Ts increase.

Han Han's retirement in the later stage of Round Six, coupled with the his exclusion from Round Five means he will have to try his hardest this weekend to regain ground in the drivers' championship.

The Chang'an Ford FRD team, who claimed the manufacturers' championship at Round Five, will need to grips with the circuit fast, without any previous experience with their Ford Focus 1.6Ts at this twisty little circuit.

The privateers' battle will be between GDTV TSB Racing's Honda Accords, G Racing's Chevrolet Cruze 1.6Ts and ASR da Marco's Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T.

The qualifying will be held at 14:20 (local time) on Saturday 13th October.
