Sinopec Lubricants China Touring Car Championship the fifth substation races on August 24, 2014 took place at the Korea International Circuit. In Super Production Group, Zhang Zhiqiang and Lu Gan from Shi Cuiying Group Glaxy Team respectively won the first and the second prizes, and Xie Xinzhe from Changan Ford team won the third prize. In China Production Group, Zhu Hu’an from  BAIC MOTOR Team easily won the golden prize in the first round, and Cui Yue from Beijing Hyundai Zongheng Team got the second place by grab the end line before Wan Jincun. In the second round, David Zhu from BAIC MOTOR Team smoothly won the first place, and Liu Yang from Beijing Hyundai Zongheng Team got the second place. And Hu’an Zhu got the third place. According to the results of the Committee after racing, David Zhu got penalty of 60 seconds, and thus Liu Yang won the championship in second round.

Regarding the Red Bull Fastest Lap Award, Zhang Zhiqiang won the first place in the Super Production Group, and David Zhu won the first place in China Production Group.

China-word Race has go abroad for the first time after establishment of diplomatic relations for 22 years

August 24th is the 22nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea. China-word Races under the State Sports General Administration -- China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) came to Korea, and hosted the races at the fifth substation for the 2014 season. It is reported that it’s the first time China national sports championship go abroad for racing at overseas substation. The game was held at Korea International Circuit in Jeollanam-do, South Korea. At the opening ceremony, in addition to representatives from FIA and promoters, as well as leaders from manufacturers, Zhang Xiaomei, Deputy Consul General from Consulate General of the China in Kwangju, also attended the opening ceremony of this race.

As the saying goes, it is impolite not to reciprocate. Prior to this, the South Korean auto races have made numerous trips to China for communication and competition. At this time, the top car racing sports went abroad for the first time, which also realized further exchange of feelings between China and South Korea. CTCC's visit is not just an easy increase of foreign racetrack, but more of a symbol of friendly cooperation, especially on car racing career, between China and South Korea. It is believed in the future, along with a very good start by CTCC, cooperation on sports between two countries will become more closely.

Zhang Zhiqiang Conducted A POLE TO WIN

During races of Super Group, the young Zhang Zhiqiang won his first CTCC substation golden prize in attitude of Pole to win even under the condition of his unwell body. This is the first substation championship won by Shi Cuiying Shi Cuiying Group Star Team which joined CTCC three years ago. In today's heavy rain, Zhang Zhiqiang performed perfectly, and did not give any chance to rivals. He led all the way to win the first overseas substation championship in history of CTCC.

Battle between Liu Yang and Mr. Zhu

In the racing of China Group, Cui Yue and Wan Jincun kept the same speed at four or five corners in the final lap of the first round, which became a hot topic for foreign car racers on the circuit. In the meanwhile, battle between young and old waged on in two rounds of China Production Group. The first round was the battle between Zhu brothers (David Zhu, Hu’an Zhu) and Cui Yue as well as Wan Jincun, and the second round was also the battle between Zhu brothers and Liu Yang.

Zheng Andi Won Out in the Battle Between Chinese and South Korean Racing

Regarding the CJ SuperRace, there were totally three games by four group categories on Sunday. At the highest level of the Super6000 group, Wong Chun Yue from CJ Hello Moblie Team won the golden prize. After the games, there was a special racing match friendship challenge with 5 laps. South Korea sent six elites from group of Super1600, and China has also sent six racers from China Production Group. Eventually, Zheng Andi won the championship after five laps of racing.  Yang Yonghe from South Korea won the second place, and Xia Yu won the third place.

In addition to fierce battle on racetracks, and China & South Korea racing car music festival was held in the audience area on Saturday night. Many first-line stars such as Dalshabet, Girl's Day, Stellar, YE-A, Shinee and Roy Kim sang on the stage, which repeatedly brought the scene atmosphere, and made fans burst into screaming.

At the next station, China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) and World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) will together head to Beijing. It is after 5 years that CTCC returned to Beijing Jingang International Circuit.
