On July 19, 2015, the forth round of China and South Korea International Racing Cultural Festival, namely Sinopec Lubricants CTCC China Touring Car Championship was held in South Korea. In the two rounds of China Production Group, GTMC Toyota YARiS L Team’s driver Wei An CHEN won the championship, Beijing Hyundai Zongheng Team’s Yue CUI clinched the second, and the third went to V-Speed Team’s Zhen Yu ZHU. In the second round, BAIC SENOVO’s David ZHU, JJ Racing Team’s Heng Yi HUANG and Beijing Hyundai Zongheng Team’s Zhi Hang HUANG won the first three respectively. In Super Production Group, Dongfeng Yueda KIA’s Zhi Qiang ZHANG won twice consecutively at home circuit, Chang’an Ford driver Andy YAN kept the second place, Zhi Qiang ZHANG’ teammate Jia Tu ZHAN got the third place. In Super 2.0 T Group, Shanghai Volkswagen 333 Team’s Zhen Dong ZHANG and Rui Wang won the championship.

KIA Won the Championship at Home Circuit

Zhi Qiang ZHANG Won Twice at South Korea Station

After the opening ceremony, the final was held formally. The competition in Super Production Group was fierce, but it missed the leding Zhi Qiang ZHANG. He led the race alone, and even the TV cameras cannot focus on him. When the checkered flag was waved, Zhi Qiang ZHANG won again in this foreign country after won the first in Korea sub-station last year. Different from last year, he represented Dongfeng Yueda KIA team to race at home circuit. While won the championship at home, he also helped Dongfeng Yueda KIA come to the top standings. In Super Production Group, the competition focused on two Hong Kong drivers. Andy YAN kept his advantage in the standings by watertight defense. However, Jia Tu ZHAN attacked gently, so the third place went to him eventually.

Female Driver Heng Yi HUANG Mounted the Podium at the First Time

In China Production Group, in addition to regulars we were familiar with; female driver Heng Yi HUANG mounted the podium at the first time at South Korea station. In the second round, Hengyi Huang led the race and won the second place finally. Heng Yi HUANG moved to JJ Racing Team in this station, she mounted the podium smoothly when she came to Korea at the first time, which proved her remarkable strength. The three manufactures brought the competition to South Korea Jeollanam-do, in which there were many crashed in the whole race, damaging the three teams. However, the result was still surprising, because drivers from Beijing Qiche, Beijing Hyundai and GTMC Toyota were able to mount the podium. As to who was the final winner, no one had dared to say himself so far. Fierce fighting in Chinese Production Group will continue in the second half of the season.

Young Driver Zhen Dong ZHANG Won Three Times Consecutively

In Super 2.0T Group, Shanghai Volkswagen 333 Team’s Rui WANG and Zhen Dong ZHANG clinched the second and first respectively. Teng Yi JIANG’s race car suffered from failure yesterday, so he missed the race at Korea station unfortunately. But Teamwork Team's Alex Hui fought alone and led in Super Cup Group. Unfortunately, his car suffered from failure in the end, failing to finish the race. This helped Zhen Dong ZHANG and Rui WANG clinch the first and second respectively. It was worth mentioned that Zhen Dong ZHANG had won championship in this Group at consecutive three stations, so he can be called Shanghai Volkswagen's young lucky warrior.

Racing Exchange of China, South Korea and Japan

On Sunday, racing feast of China, South Korea and Japan were held in turns. South Korea SuperRace and Japan SFJ • Super Formula Junior race performed wonderful tournaments on weekend. After the race, China, South Korea and Japan also held a friendly race exchange, not only increasing racing skills, but also promoting friendship. After all the races, K-POP Carnival Concert was held at backcourt business district. The popular group, such as B1A4, Boyfriend, Orange Caramel, and Oh my girl came to the site, bringing a racing music feast to the audience.

After the race in South Korea, CTCC’s next station will be Zhaoqing, Guangdong. On August 16, the fifth sub-station competition of the season will be held in Guangdong International Circuit.
