The 5th event of China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) will travel to the new track at Ordos, Inner Mongolia in September 24th.
New track brings new challenge
The Ordos International Circuit (OIC) is the 2nd professional racing circuit in Northern China. With the total length of 3.751 KM, MaxSpeed 296km/h and unique feature of the Inner Mongolia Greenland, the track is indeed a new challenge to both the drivers and machines.
With half season being finished, the competition at 1.6L and 2.0L is getting quite dramatic. For 1600cc, Rui Wang (Shanghai-VW 333 racing team) and Yang Liu (Beijing Hyundai racing team) stay tie and lead the championship. As for 2000cc class, Lo Ka Chun from DF-KIA 778 racing team, is leading the championship with only 2 points advantage.
Martin Cao, the young gun from Changan Ford Racing team, follows very aggressively behind Lo. Shanghai-VW 333 racing team and Changan Ford Racing team are leading the 1600cc and 2000cc manufacture cup, respectively.
CTCC brings the Greenland culture to the fans
Along with Red Bull, YOKOHAMA and all the Manufactures, CTCC will bring a series of fun activities to the commercial area of OIC. The CTCC teams and drivers are getting ready to try out this new circuit and set the first records of OIC.
