Han Han of Shanghai VW 333 Racing took a dramatic win in the second round of CTCC in Zhuhai International Circuit. Ford drivers Rainey He and Jiang Tengyi finished second and third.
The four Volkswagen Polos of Shanghai VW 333 Racing were penalised before the race and made to start from the 16th to 19th place on the grid, as they hadn't finished changing their tyres before the start of the formation lap. Volkswagen driver Han Han had claimed pole, but due to the error of his team, was forced to start from 16th.
Andy Yan of Chang'an Ford FRD Team led the race until the second lap, when his Focus suddenly ran off into the gravel and he was forced to retire from the race. Han Han made quick progress from the start, and was up to second place by lap five.
Fan Guo Xian of Chang'an Ford FRD Team retired from the race on the same lap after a crash with Guo Hua Yang of Shanghai VW 333 Racing.
Han Han fought harder in the later stage of the race. He passed race leader Rainey He on lap nine and pulled out a lead, taking his first victory of 2012 and the first for Shanghai VW 333 Racing this year.
The third round of the 2012 CTCC will be held on June 17th at the Changdu International Circuit.
