After a successful race is Zhuhai, the Changan Ford Racing Team arrived Shanghai to prepare for the last race of the season.  With the Driver title already locked up by the team, the team needs only to score another four points in R8 to take the Manufacturer title to complete a perfect season.

With the experience gained during the season about the strange behaviour of the tire, the team again decided to dedicate the limited practice time to the race set up. John Ling, Team Manager " we are still trying to figure out the behaviour of the tire. Very difficult to predict its behaviour from circuit to circuit. Extremely puzzling."

Qualifying

The team didn't have the best qualifying session and only Martin Xie could extend his strong Zhuhai performance putting his car on position 4, Jiang Tengyi 9th, Andy Yan 11th and Rainey He starting from the back of the grid due to steering issue.

Race

The Sunday race was started under the threat of rain but didn't come. Martin Xie immediately pushed forward to the third position after another great start. He finished the race in second position. Tengyi Jiang also took three positions after the start and moved into sixth after lap 1 and fourth after lap 3. He stayed there until lap 8. Taking advantage of the mistake of a KIA car in front of him, he took third position and stayed there until the end of the race gaining himself a podium finish. Andy Yan, who needed only three points to get the Driver's title and with the agreement of the team not to push his car, had also a great start, drove conservatively and finished the race in eighth position, good enough for him to become the Champion of the season.

With the strong finish by Martin Xie and Tengyi Jiang, the team also was crowned CTCC Champion fifth times in a row and sixth times in the team's eight year history.
