Wang Rui of Team Shanghai VW 333 Racing claimed the pole position for the sixth round of CTCC at the Guangdong International Circuit. Andy Yan and Rainey He from Chang?an Ford FRD Team qualified second and third. 

Rui broke the lap record with his lap time of 1:21.421 and secured his first pole position.

Andy Yan and Rainey He clocked 1:21.648 and 1:22.099 respectively, ending up as second and third on the grid. Han Han, who was disqualified in the previous race, qualified fourth with a time of 1:22.263.

The naturally-aspirated Honda Accord of Cheung Hon Bil qualified 5th with Lo Ka Chun in his Kia Fortes qualified 8th.
