The sixth round of the 2012 China Touring Car Championship will be held in on the 16th September at the Guangdong International Circuit.
Shanghai VW 333 Racing Team is expected to continue with their strong form, shown by Han Han'?s victories at round two (in Zhuhai) and rounds four and five at Ordos in adverse conditions.
Chang'an Ford team will be cautious after losing the drivers' championship lead to Han Han. They've already had a shakedown test at Guangdong International Circuit after the last round with their Ford Focus 1.6Ts. They'll be aiming to regain lost ground this weekend at the race.
A new car should be on the grid this weekend, with Kia 778 Autosport now confirmed to enter their Kia K2 1.6T in the forthcoming round, according to a spokesperson from the Chinese branch of the Korean carmaker. This replaces the normally aspirated Kia Forte that the team has been using in previous years and with which they fought for last year's title.
While the privateers? battle will be concentrated between GDTV TSB Racing, who made a surprising return during the last round, and G Racing, who suffered with suspension problems during round five with their Chevrolet Cruze 1.6Ts.
Summit ? S Wave Racing and ASR da Marco are expected to return the grid with their own Peugeot 307 and Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T.
The qualifying will be held at 16:50 (local time) on Saturday 15th September.
