Shanghai VW 333 Racing driver Han Han took his third win of the season in the seventh round of the CTCC at the Tianma circuit, ahead of Kenneth Look's G Racing Chevrolet and Rainey He's Chang'an Ford FRD Focus.

Han Han had qualified in fourth on the grid, but had to fight back after dropping to fifth position on lap two after he was passed by Ziang Zhi Qiang of G Racing.

Ford's Rainey He had started on pole, but was passed by Kenneth Look's Chevrolet on lap seven, and then dropped to third after he was passed by the Volkswagen of Guo on the same lap.

Han Han's charge to the front came late in the race, passing Ziang Zhi Qiang on lap seven. He then passed team-mate Guo on lap 13 and finally overtaking Look for the lead one lap later.

Guo suffered from a puncture in the later part of the race, driving back to the pits on lap 27 and was forced to retire from the race.

Han Han gained his third victory in the 2012 season after a strong fight at his home circuit. Rainey He now leads the drivers' championship after his third place finish with 57 points. Han Han is just two points behind on 55, and Rainey's Ford team-mate Jiang Tengyi is third on 52 points.

The eighth and final round of the 2012 CTCC will be held on November 4th at the Shanghai International Circuit, supporting the FIA WTCC's second visit to China.
