On 8th November, 2015, Round 8 of SINOPEC LUBRICANTS Chinese Touring Car Championship ended at Beijing FASC Circuit. In this round, Martin XIE from Dongfeng Honda, Ka To JIM, Leo YE from Team Kia respectively got the 1-2-3 of the Super Production Group. In Super 2.0T Group, Sunny WONG from Teamwork team was the first, Teng Yi JIANG, Zhen Dong ZHANG from VW was 2nd and 3rd behind. With respect for the China Production Group, Han Biao ZHANG, Yang LIU and Yue CUI were on the 1-2-3 podiums in race 1, while in race 2, Ruo Han HUANG, Zhen Yu ZHU and Yu XIA kicked the first third.

After this race, the yearly championship came out for a result. KIA won the manufacture cup finally in Super Production Group, and Andy YAN from Ford was the champion driver in this group, which was whose third time winning the champion. Beijing Hyundai succeeded in retaining the trophy after 2014 in China Production Group, while Yu XIA from GTMC for his first time won the champion medal.

Super Production Group: The third crown for Andy YAN

Before this round, Chang’an Ford’s Andy YAN leaded driver championship with 3 points to Zhi Qiang ZHANG and Henry HO, quite difficult condition. On 8^th November, poleman Leo YE unable to keep his lead and finally passed by Martin XIE and Ka To JIM. Although XIE won the final round, but Dongfeng Yueda KIA picked up the manufacture title thanks to Second place finished Ka To JIM and Third placed Leo YE.

Review after the race showed that: Xiao Le HE’s car lost control and then crashed into Zhi Qiang ZHANG and Martin XIE. As a result, ZHANG fell to the last place and HE forced to retire. Back field starter Andy YAN tried all his might to get the places back and successfully got the fourth place. According to this, Andy YAN scored his third driver title, also Chang’an Ford’s third driver title.

Super 2.0T Group: Zhen Dong ZHANG the inaugural champion

The most focused of Super 2.0T Group is the fight of driver championship, and two contenders ,Zhen Dong ZHANG and Rui WANG, all come from SVM 333 Racing. ZHANG enjoyed a leadership of 3 points but he had to start the race after WANG.

After the race start, Sunny WONG jumped into lead as he got pass Teng Yi JIANG. Behind the frontrunners, Zhen Dong ZHANG was confused by slow cars and fell to fifth place. But he managed to get the position back and ensured his title. Follow to Sunny WONG’s win, Teamwork Motorsport won club cup title. The early crowned manufacture winning team SVW 333 Racing became real champions’ team as Rui WANG, Han HAN, Teng Yi JIANG and Zhen Dong ZHANG all scored annual champion.

China Production Group: Yu XIA maintained advantage

Every round of this group are very entertaining and Beijing Hyundai leads GTMC before Beijing round. But Beijing Hyundai’s performance is better and secured manufacture title for two seasons. The join-leading drivers, Yu XIA and Hu An ZHU ended season with the same points again, XIA got driver title difficultly by more wins than ZHU.

Although GTMC’s Yu XIA didn’t improve a lot in race 1, he still managed to a podium finish in race2, which enforced his maiden title.

BAIC’s Ruo Han HUANG won race 2 after archived the same result on Yancheng round, who made big progress during two seasons. Newly found GRT Racing won title of club teams.

POLO Cup: Ya Qi ZHANG the champion

The race 2 of closing round of 2015 POLO Cup season was held on 8^th November, Qian Shang ZHANG and Ze Yu HE enjoyed First and Second place, but the most successful man of that weekend was Ya Qi ZHANG,. After a third place finish, ZHANG became annual driver champion of 2015 POLO Cup, so did his team Linky-Racing.

After that，all the races of SINOPEC LUBRICANTS Chinese Touring Car Championship are over. But the prizing ceremony will be held in Zhuhai, also worth expecting.
