Rainey He has claimed pole position in the CTCC Super Production race for the Chang'an Ford FRD Team at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit. Kenneth Look of G Racing in a Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T and Guo Hua Yang of Shanghai VW 333 Racing qualified second and third.

The seventh round of the 2012 China Touring Car Championship will be held this weekend at Shanghai Tianma Circuit, the circuit which also held the Chinese round of the 2011 WTCC. Shanghai VW 333 Racing Team aren't optimistic of results this weekend even though they'll be racing on their home circuit: The victory of Wang Rue at the last round has only helped see the success ballast on their Volkswagen Polo 1.6Ts increase.

The penultimate round of the China Touring Car Championship will be held in Shanghai Tianma Circuit (STC) on October 13th to 14th. It is anticipated that the Changan Ford Racing Team can gain the three points needed to secure the Manufacturer Championship for the year.

Round 6 of China Touring Car Championship just finished yesterday in GIC. Changan Ford Racing Team captured the Manufacturer Cup title of R6 with driver Andy Yan claimed the 1st runner up followed by his team mates Rainey He and Gaoxiang Fan. This result means that Changan Ford Racing Team expanded the lead in the Manufacturer Championship to 51 points. In the driver race, the Changan Ford drivers also occupy the top three positions; Rainey He with 47 points, Andy Yan is only 2 point behind, and Tengyi Jiang is still maintaining the third position with 44 points.

Wang Rui of Team Shanghai VW 333 Racing claimed the pole position for the sixth round of CTCC at the Guangdong International Circuit. Andy Yan and Rainey He from Chang?an Ford FRD Team qualified second and third.

The sixth round of the 2012 China Touring Car Championship will be held in on the 16th September at the Guangdong International Circuit.

Since the Changan Ford Racing Team has never used a turbocharged engine on this track, the team did a three day test late August to establish a reference line for the cars.

Changan Ford Racing Team is currently testing with the 1.6L Ecoboost New Ford Focus to prepare for the CTCC R6 (September 15-16) in Guangdong International Circuit (GIC). Since the team has never ran a turbocharged car on this track, the team engineers and Andy Yan, are spending three days to work on the gearing and setting.

Round 5 of the China Touring Car Championship finished last Sunday at Ordos International Circuit. Changan Ford Racing Team driver Rainey He, after suffering from a bad start, fought back from eighth and all the way to third. Together with Fan Gaoxiang, they gain another 13 valuable points for team’s march towards the Manufacturer Championship.

Han Han of Shanghai VW 333 Racing took his third win of the season at the fifth round of the CTCC at the Ordos International Circuit. Han's team-mate Wang Rue finished second with Rainey He of Chang'an Ford FRD Team in third.
